Altar Mayor is a towering, mossy rock in Brgy. Ikirin, standing 10–15 meters high and shrouded in mystery. Locals speak of an underwater tunnel hidden beneath it—believed to connect to a distant church in Pagbilao or Tayabas. Legends of secret Spanish-era masses and sightings of the Virgin Mary gave the rock its sacred name. Once used for bathing, it's now mostly avoided due to chilling tales of ghostly voices, shadowy figures, and strange illnesses. Even a protective riprap built years ago has mysteriously disappeared—adding to the rock's eerie lore.

🌟 Fun Fact: Locals claim that if you visit at dawn or dusk, you might hear the faint echo of church bells or chanting—even though there's no church anywhere nearby!
